Track Of The Day 5/5 – Roxanne de Bastion

'Erase'

Roxanne de Bastion isn't about to let anything get in her way.

A truly independent spirit, her resolute determination saw her 2017 debut album – self-written, self-produced, self-released – reach a nationwide audience.

Continually pushing herself, Roxanne was set to play a headline tour this Spring, before coronavirus scuppered her plans.

Not one to be disheartened, the songwriter has planned out a 'virtual' tour, performing over the social media channels of the venues she had pencilled in for the trip.

Launching this week, it's a bold move, but one entirely in keeping with the way Roxanne de Bastion operates.

Recently entering the studio with Bernard Butler, the pair immediately clicked, resulting in a stirring new single.

'Erase' is out now, a 60s pop epic that seems to recall everyone from Dusty Springsteen to Last Shadow Puppets, with some crisp songwriting sitting at its heart.

Out shortly, we're able to share 'Erase' before anyone else.
