Any project's debut single is an important milestone.
Copenhagen duo Sherpa know this, and the band deliberately held back, painstakingly going over their material.
Now it's time to strike. New single 'Fornever' opens their account, a lavish piece of progressive pop that surges into its own lane.
A beautiful and highly idiosyncratic release, singer Carsten Eliasen’s delivery traces some painfully personal moments.
He explains: “The lyrics reflect on those moments that, seem like they could last forever, but with a blink of an eye they disappear. Maybe they become distant memories, maybe you doubt if they ever happened – they become fornever moments. We want people to remember and appreciate those moments.”
The full visuals trace this fairytale, with director Tom McKenzie leading a cast that includes Sunniva Løvland Byvard and Peter Hunter.
Intricately choreographed, it's a wonderfully absorbing, outwardly emotional tale. Tune in now.
