Some things can never be taught.

The feeling that runs through a song, for example, or the sense of individual identity that emerges from truly great music.

Stuck at an impasse, Tel Aviv newcomer DORJ decided that what he really need to know couldn't emerge from academia... so he left.

"I got to the point where I really wanted to learn how to write and compose a classical piece, but I was struggling to find a way to express myself," he explains. "I left the academy and continued working on my own beats, writing music and experimenting in the studio. I get a lot of inspiration from working with musicians and producers that I appreciate - I'm learning a lot from it, and I'm always into exploring new and interesting collaborations."

New EP 'Hipnotized' emerges from this period. Throwing himself into uncharted territory, DORJ absorbed pop, hip-hop, R&B, jazz and more, soaking up fresh influences on a daily basis.

Set to emerge shortly, Clash is able to premiere the startling title cut from the EP. 'Hiptnotized' bubbles with creative energy, with the lyrics deriving from an earnest moment of reflection.

He explains: "'Hiptnotized' is a song with all its humour serves a reminder that beneath of all our cynicism, we all long for significant and real connections in life."
