'Cold Light Of Day'

Lewsberg craft these perfectly obscure guitar miniatures.

The Rotterdam group are spearheading a ruthlessly talented Dutch indie underground, with a recent full length winning international praise.

New single 'Cold Light Of Day' is incoming, available digitally and on an ultra-limited cassette run.

When Clash met Lewsberg earlier in the year we described them as "a band who revel in doing things in their own, understated way" and that's certainly true of their new single.

Slender guitar lines align to a slightly lo-fi feel, reminiscent of New Zealand's much-feted Flying Nun stable but with a defiantly original streak.

An exceptional piece of guitar minimalism, 'Cold Light Of Day' carries a murky twilight flavour that recalls The Velvet Underground's famously bummed out third album.

Guitarist Michiel Klein says of the song, "When I wrote the music for this song, I tried to keep things simple as always. I managed to squeeze out a guitar solo at the end. It baffles me every time, because I’ve never cared for, or in fact even hated, guitar solos.”

Tune in now.

Lewsberg will release 'Cold Light Of Day' on October 4th - pre-order it HERE.
