Probably best known as the guitarist in Maximo Park, Duncan Lloyd is currently taking time out from the north-eastern indie-rockers to release his debut solo album, ‘Seeing Double’.
The album – released on October 6 via Warp, home of course to Maximo Park – is a lo-fi gem that recalls the sweet strum of many an acclaimed songsmith before Lloyd while retaining the quirky accessibility of the most immediate Maximo material. Preceded by a single, ‘Suzee’ (out today, September 29), the record’s sure to find fans among Lloyd’s ‘other band”s existing audience and newcomers alike.
