We’re pretty partial to the odd wig-out round here, so it’s a pleasure to lose ourselves for a few minutes to the spiralling psychedelica of Wooden Shjips, featured here are part of our Green Man Festival TOTD takeover.
The San Francisco four-piece have been sending listeners tripping merrily into realms of escapist daydreams for some time now, and released their second album proper, ‘Dos’, via Holy Mountain in May. ATP regulars should be familiar with the band’s brand of enveloping atmospherics, as they starred at last year’s Release The Bats event; Green Man-goers this summer can check them out as part of a bill that also includes Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear and Wilco.
