Recently seen on Later With Jools Holland, Brighton-based orchestral popsters The Mummers are to release their debut album, ‘Tale To Tell’, on June 8.
The long-player will be preceded by a single, ‘Wonderland’, which you’ll find covered in next week’s singles round up (June 1). With plaudits from the likes of Q and Word, The Mummers are well positioned to mount a serious assault on the nation’s listening gear, and here’s a neat introduction courtesy of a semi-cover, semi-mash-up.
Here, the Raissa Khan-Panni-fronted collective tackle recent Clash cover stars Passion Pit’s ‘Sleepyhead’, and mighty good the end result is.
