The Hop Farm festival takeover continues with a rare live cut from English folk collective Mumford And Sons.
With Van Morrison and Bob Dylan as headliners, The Hop Farm festival has unwittingly caught the mood of the moment. Bands across the country are reaching for their acoustics, blending folk with indie in subtle new ways.
American groups such as Fleet Foxes may have kick started the trend, but Britain has responded in kind. Mumford And Sons have dominated the charts this year with their debut album ‘Sigh No More’.
A near effortless debut offering, it was followed by a sold out UK tour. Mumford And Sons have not stopped writing new material, with each single backed by a variety of unheard tracks.
The London based band recently stopped by the offices of Scottish label Song, By Toad to record ‘Untitled’. A flipside, the track has won a devoted following after being dropped into Mumford And Sons live set.
