Peckham is a hub for creativity within London.
The South London area is a network of studios and rehearsal spaces, with the (relatively) cheap rents allowing new projects to spring up.
Groves sit at the centre of this. A three-piece, the group's billowing electronics gently erase the barriers of pop and plummet into uncharted territory.
New cut 'Savour' is set to emerge on Different Recordings, and it was built up during lengthy, meandering studio sessions.
Eventually whittled down into something rather more lucid, the lengthy editing process allowed 'Savour' to splinter into several different incarnations.
“It's satisfying to finally release this one into the wild after so many different re-versions,” the band say. “Whilst the original subject of the song is still relevant, it was also written to consider how perspectives, personal or otherwise, change over time. This being the case, and considering how much time has passed, its meaning isn’t limited to one specific thing anymore.”
