'PSA'

Poetic Thrust linger in the state of flux between jazz and hip-hop.

A seven piece collective formed in Brooklyn, they pit vital MCs against a full horn ensemble and a live rhythm section.

Keeping it raw, their vital debut single 'Crisis' was followed by full 'All Water' EP, which gained hyperventilating support from Gilles Peterson.

Matching continual live shows against studio sessions, their free-flowing approach to creativity allows Poetic Thrust to bound past the barriers in their way.

Peers would include BadBadNotGood and Onyx Collective, but really Poetic Thrust are in a realm of their own, spinning out web after web after web.

New single 'PSA' trails their incoming EP 'On Deck', and each song on the EP deals with different notions of conflict.

A bombastic return, 'PSA' is about the relentless pursuit of your vision, the single-minded approach that makes Poetic Thrust so vital.

Or - as they put it - "some Robin Hood shit..."
