Invada Records have steadily built up an imposing roster.
The Bristol-based imprint seem to cross genres, disciplines, but what holds the whole thing together is a certain intensity.
Scarlet Rascal are certainly intense. The group are a rising four piece, newcomers who sound harks back to The Fall's early 80s releases, to the sweeping Noo Yoik grandeur of Television or the slate-grey modernism of Joy Division.
New single 'Venus' will be released on April 27th, with Scarlet Rascal's debut album due to follow early next year.
For now, Clash is able to unveil the clip for 'Venus'. Shot in what appears to be a derelict factory, it's an imposing video which showcases the natural charisma of Luke Brookes.
Check out the video now.
Scarlet Rascal are set to play London venue the Old Blue Last on Friday (April 24th).
