Kettering is an unlikely musical hotspot.
Yet right now, the English commuter town boasts some bona fide psychedelic pop stars. Temples hail from Kettering, with their blissed out debut album landing in the Top Ten earlier this year.
Neighbour could well follow suit. Quite distinct from Temples, the two share a pop ambition, a willingness to write gorgeous melodies or addictive hooks.
Still new – the band only have a handful of tracks online – Neighbour are already catching attention. New track 'Kuta Prowl' went online over Easter, a tasty surprise for those who had grown sick of cream eggs.
Opening with some trippy guitar lines, the vocals are driven by a rare determination. Kettering eh? Who'da thunk it.
