Mathilda Homer has a sense of class.
Partly jazz and partly pop, her classic style matches individuality to a rich lineage that moves from Frank Sinatra to Erykah Badu.
New EP 'Sunny Like You' drops on February 27th, with the rising vocalist set to play London's Electrowerkz on March 13th.
Ahead of this Mathilda has shared new song 'Probably Sorry' and it's a gorgeous, soulful bop, her restrained delivery matched to some stellar songwriting.
“It’s quite a self-doubting song, written when I wasn’t sure if I was worth someone’s time and energy,” she explains. Picking apart the opening weeks of a relationship, Mathilda uses her lyrical prowess to enhance her soulful power.
She explains: "The start of a relationship, when you question whether or not there’s enough space in your partners life for you. You’re apologetic for taking up their time. You’re questioning whether they think you’re worth the space in their mind."
