One of the most unpredictable and inspiring groups of their generation, Electric Soft Parade have decided to take a break.
But rather than sit with their feet up, songwriter Thomas White has decided to head straight back into the studio. His moonlight sessions have resulted in a new solo album, containing some of his most complex material to date.
‘The Maximalist’ is released via Cooking Vinyl, and matches White’s prog sensibilities with his pop touch.
Initial recordings began at home, with Tom White recording on his own 8-Track recorder. Taking the tapes up to Scotland, the singer worked with the team at the state of the art Chem19 studio.
Owned by Chemikal Underground, the likes of Mogwai, The Delagados and more have used the studio. The result is one of the most impressive albums of Tom White’s career, gaining across the board warm reviews.
ClashMusic has grabbed album track ‘The Last Blast’ as a free download.
