'Ruse'

Harvey Causon has a voice that could solve the most complex of problems.

Soft and soothing, it's also recalcitrant, with the Bristol riser pursuing solitary aims, sticking to his goals throughout.

A pair of singles - 'Corinthians' and 'Tenfold' - saw Harvey Causon light up 2021, and he begins the New Year with a spot on those all-important tips lists.

New single 'Ruse' should serve to amplify the hype. Downbeat R&B intermingled with soothing electronics, it has the feeling of an artist exploring fresh ground.

The retained palette serves to underline his minimalist tendencies, with Harvey Causon's soul drenched vocal utilising this space to an emphatic degree.

Harvey explains...

“It’s about the flustered plucking up of feathers for someone only to then be held at an arm's reach. It’s about the frustration and eruptive excitement of staying up all night with someone on your mind.”

“It's about not always knowing what to say and how counterintuitively a lot of the time through blurred miscommunications and foreplay we somehow make sense of each other's intentions.”

Tune in now.
