Law Holt does things her own way.
The Edinburgh talent previously shot to contention through her association with Young Fathers, but she's not about to dwell in anyone's shadow.
Debut album 'City' arrives on August 26th, the culmination of years of intense work, and months of heavy duty studio sessions.
Finally, though, she's there. Law Holt introduced the record with 'Spit', and now Clash is able to premiere a further teaser from the record.
'Summer's Coming' isn't quite the sunshine romp the title might suggest, as Law explains: "Summer is perpetually coming, never arriving."
"A bittersweet city-song about the easy junky promises of a man who can’t help himself. Too wasted to be a lover, but with a loving soul. Crying out to his best friend from some kind of forced rehab in the country for her to come and save him. But she’s already given him everything she can. So he dies, probably, in an act of emotional revenge. Or maybe he just dies inside."

'City' will be released on August 26th.
