'The Beat'

EERA is a puzzle you can't resist attempting to solve.

The vocalist and songwriter has a slight gothic sheen to her electronic pop constructions, with new album 'Speak' set to arrive alongside the first chills of winter.

Out on December 3rd, it finds EERA once more stepping briskly into the unknown, pushing her music in brave new directions.

Take her latest single 'The Beat'. A song that deals with frustration, it finds EERA learning to build walls against the expectations of the world.

'The Beat' is about accepting yourself, and finding comfort within that; it's about refusing to allow others to chip away at your confidence.

Lewis Lloyd directed the video, and it's startling, pulsating imagery - steeped in blue shades - seems to entwine itself around the song's introversion.

As the film maker puts it: "A world where EERA is stuck like a ghost in VCR, watching glitching broken transmissions of her inner mind on repeat.”

Tune in now.

Finally, you can catch EERA supporting Public Service Broadcasting on their lengthy UK tour this Autumn, which includes a London Roundhouse date on November 10th.
