KYLA always knew the music she made deserved to heard by a huge audience.
A vital component of UK funky's glorious first wave, she helped promote the intersection of club culture and a pop sensibility driven by future soul.
So when Drake finally picked up on her music, the results were pretty much inevitable.
KYLA was sampled for the key motif on the Toronto rapper's chart-shattering 'One Dance', turning her voice into one of the globe's most easily recognisable instruments.
Quickly surging ahead, new single 'You Ain't Mine' features dancehall star Popcaan and it's a tropical smasher that nails the last of those summer vibes.
KYLA explains: "‘The song is about meeting a guy who you think is amazing but then shortly find out that he has a girl and that you are just a fling. Although he is falling in love with you, you have to move on and let him go, this is my second time working with Popcaan and it's always a pleasure."
