Track Of The Day 17/8 – Vitalic

Electro-fuzz and full fat bass

Back in 2001, a rather anonymous hi-NRG techno track burst onto the dancefloors of Europe and gradually become a pre-requisite for any DJ’s set list. This track was ‘La Rock 01’ (below), the firey birth of Vitalic.

Today we stream ‘Terminateur Benelux’ from Vitalic’s latest EP, a warning shot of what is to come from his second full studio album ‘Flashmob’, coming out late September. The melodies are awash in Mr Oizo-esque electro fuzz with full fat bass, whilst the gradual increase suggests he still holds a passion for the advancing techno techniques of his first and infamous EP, ‘Poney’.
