'Warm Ambition'

Straylings is a place where ideas meet.

The group formed when Dana Zeera left her homeland of Bahrain to study in England, settling amidst North London's creative community.

Playing countless open mic nights, she was drawn into the orbit of Oliver Drake, who has only just departed from Rough Trade signings The Veils.

Quickly bonding, Straylings' debut album was a psych-tinged delight, a fusion of differing backgrounds but similar approaches.

New album 'Wild Medicine' continues this journey. Out on February 23rd, it matches fuzzed out guitar riffs to elements of Middle Eastern culture, electric piano flourishes to rock crunch.

New song 'Warm Ambition' airs first on Clash, and it's a fine example of the artistry that makes Straylings so beguiling.

A rich, detailed return, it's a beautiful, resolutely independent offering, one that could only come from Straylings.
