Track of the Day 16/6 – Codes In The Clouds vs worriedaboutsatan

Excellent remix action...

Today’s TOTD features a pair of bands soon to play Clash-presented shows in London: Codes In The Clouds and worriedaboutsatan.

The latter act – ethereal post-rock meets eclectic electronica (think Apparat, Matthew Dear), from Leeds – have already played one show for Clash this year, opening proceedings at our most recent Saturday Social. But next week they return to the capital to play The Social (Little Portland Street, W1) alongside Rival Consoles, Digitonal and 65daysofstatic (DJs). Tickets are just a fiver in advance from HERE, and Facebook users can find more information HERE. Further details are available on ClashMusic.com HERE. worriedaboutsatan’s debut album ‘arrivals’ is out now and is reviewed to the tune of 8/10 HERE.

If that wasn’t enough linkage for you, here’s some more: Codes In The Clouds are a Kentish/London quintet delivering most absorbing post-rock dynamics (a la Explosions In The Sky, This Will Destroy You), and their debut album ‘Paper Canyon’ is reviewed HERE. They play live at the July Clash Saturday Social (at the Notting Hill Arts Club, W11, on July 25), with Tubelord, Coldstream and YGT – click to the event on Facebook for more information.

Phew! And now, the track. This is CITC’s ‘We Anchor In Hope’ as remixed by worriedaboutsatan. And it’s really, really good. So get it, below.

Hope to see you at the shows!
