SIRMA was a child prodigy in her native Turkey, plunging head-first into the realms of jazz and classical.
Gaining a scholarship to a top American music school, she began to expand her palette, taking on new and exciting projects.
Each one seemed to give her more confidence, adding fresh dimensions to her songwriting in the process. New cut 'Dancing Into Life' emerges on November 18th, and it fuses her classical leanings – that clear, beautiful tone – with dance, pop, and more.
She explains:
"When I sat down to write 'Dancing Into Life', my goal was to achieve something beautiful in its simplicity. I'm usually attracted to the most complex ideas I can come up with, but I was going through a phase of self-discovery at the time, trying to figure out what I really wanted to do with my music and my life, so every thought I had was overwhelmingly complex already. In other words, I was really lost in my own head, so, I tried to think back and remember the people who successfully interrupted my over-thinking habits in the past, since I couldn’t do it on my own."
"All those people, who spontaneously entered my life and took me out of my own brain, inspired this song."
