Track Of The Day 15/2 – The History Of Apple Pie

Roundhouse Rising

MySpace has a lot to answer for.

Somewhere in the datacloud lie millions of poorly designed webpages, spliced together by 15 years old high on Sunny D and Arctic Monkeys demos. However the social networking device did have its uses…

The History Of Apple Pie began life as an mp3, stapled unapologetically to a webpage. Earning praise, Stephanie Min and Jerome Watson decided to rope in a few friends and really focus on what they wanted to say.

Hotly tipped in some quarters, the London five piece start the year with a show at Roundhouse Rising. Taking place on Saturday (February 15th) the one off date will bring down the curtain on a week long celebration of new music.

To celebrate, ClashMusic caught up with The History Of Apple Pie for a quick chat. Stephanie Min revealed that the band are currently planning out their debut album: “We’re laying down the foundations and aiming for an end of summer release but apart from that it’s all up in the air!”

“People are pushing for it which is a really nice thing and I’m glad we’ve held back with a lot of our material – we’ve gave away three songs but have got loads down. We’re raring to get it out there now.”

Vision Of Trees recently remixed the band’s single ‘Mallory’. Turning their indie squall into something more palatial, more electronic you can stream the remix as our latest Track Of The Day.

Listen to it now…
