Hot new Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke has given ClashMusic an exclusive preview of his debut album ‘Butter’.
Glasgow might not be renowned as a hot bed of urban music, but a wave of producers have pushed hip hop to the fore of the city’s music scene.
Centred on the LuckyMe Collective, Glasgow now reverberates to a new bass led sound. Strictly forward thinking, the loose knit gang of producers specialise in pushing the barriers while keeping the crowd dancing.
Hudson Mohawke is the first member of the collective to break ground and release his debut album. Snapped up by Warp Records – who know a thing or two about electronic music – the record ‘Butter’ is a stunning testament to one of the most vivid imaginations in dance music.
Taken from that debut album, ‘ZOo00OOm’ is a blast of aquacrunk that is set to get blow your mind and move your hips!
