A Sheffield maverick with deep roots in dancehall, he's always been determined to find his own sound.
New album 'Foreign Light' saw Toddla T broaden his sound still further, while remaining true to those ruffneck dubplates that first fired his imagination.
The title cut is a real stand out in his sets, with the producer playing off against fellow Steel City don Coco.
Clash has first dibs on the Tom Cotton directed video for 'Foreign Light', and it will set a fire under those winter blues. Toddla tells us:
"'This track is very special to me. Not only did Andrea ending up accidentally naming the LP off of it but the way Coco went in was very special and heartfelt, the studio session was one I'll always remember…"
