French electro-rock gurus Phoenix get a pasting from The Soft Pack on our latest track of the day!
Phoenix shift easily between rock and dance, capable of making fans move in a way that guitar groups don’t often do. Coming of age in a gang of mates that included Air and Daft Punk perhaps it shouldn’t surprise us that Phoenix are so susceptible to the charms to electronic music.
Returning recently with their new album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ the band stunned fans with their sensational new material. Today’s track of the day comes from that album, with ‘Fences’ given a nifty re-working by The Soft Pack.
In a statement The Soft Pack said: “Phoenix are these cool French guys. We recorded our version of “Fences” with Rob Barbato of Darker My Love. Tim from Darker My Love played the cool guitar lead. It was a fun and challenging experience”.
This remix is set to be available on the newly expanded version of ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ which Phoenix are set to release on October 19th.
