The songwriter also helps to run Fika Recordings, and the imprint are hosting a special Advent calendar. Giving away a musical treat each day until December 25th, Darren Hayman got the series under way himself.
Stepping up to the plate, Darren Hayman delivered a faithful rendition of ‘Blue Christmas’. Made famous by Elvis Presley, the London artist lacks the King’s iconic croon but Hayman’s unmistakeable vocal stylings give the rendition a personal edge.
Part of a split single with The Wave Pictures, ‘Blue Christmas’ launched a host of unusual covers, rare tracks, unreleased off cuts and more – all with a festive theme naturally…
