Track Of The Day 12/3 – Casi & The Blind Harpist

'Rooted'

After the demise of a long term relationship Casi knew she needed to escape.

Tired of London's rigorous routines, it's endless concrete and glass, she packed her bags and returned to the Welsh countryside, re-connecting with her family, her roots, and herself.

Music came with her. Long walks through the open countryside soothed her mind, and allowed creativity to return, often in a new, startling ways.

New EP 'Sunflower Seeds' is the result. Matching organic textures to flecks of electronic production, her other-worldly voice drives each song to titanic heights.

New song 'Rooted' traces her path, the gradual return of confidence, the emergence of Casi & The Blind Harpist as an entity in its own right.

Electronic production with a sense of the ancient, her lyrics forever shaded by Celtic mythology and Welsh folklore, it's a sweeping, dramatic, bold offering from a distinct, deeply individual talent.
