It’s an even braver one who tries to turn a classic track from the singer upside down. Yet with her unique voice Saint Saviour could be just the sort of performer to pull this off.
Releasing two EPs to date, Saint Saviour has brought comparison to St Vincent and the vocal flourishes of Wild Beasts. Using her natural falsetto, the singer seems utterly at ease performing in the upper register.
Collaborating with Bristol based producer Ginz on new material, Saint Saviour has already developed a unique sound. Seeming to arrive fully formed, her haunting, gothic material is matched to a dramatic stage persona and a striking visual aesthetic.
All sound familiar? One of the touchstones of Saint Saviour’s career is Kate Bush, with the two often linked in reviews.

Saint Saviour turns the track on its head, delivering an a cappella rendition of the classic track. A showcase for her vocal stylings, the recording cuts straight through to the song’s anti-war message.
