Ida Mae aim for simple stark truths.
The duo cast a spell with their opaque Americana, with their folk-hewn, countrified harmonies, blending two voices as one.
Fresh from a lengthy tour across the United States the pair open a New Year with something very precious indeed.
This new video features Ida Mae performing their languid, lovelorn hymn 'If You Don't Love Me' in their hometown of Norwich.
Shot in a 17th century shoemaker's mansion, the one take clip finds Ida Mae reaching towards something creatively pure, and emotionally striking.
There's a sense of the world stretching, yawning, and coming into life, the light gradually moving across their faces.
Ida Mae comment: “We wanted to capture a sense of late night / early morning, the quiet moment before the sun comes up with a hint of ‘Exile On Main Street’!”
