Today’s Track of the Day offers up ‘Melankolia’ by The Leaf Labels’ Vladislav Delay, taken from the forthcoming album, ‘Tummaa’.
Vladislav Delay is a pseudonym for Finnish musician Sasu Ripatti who also records as Luomo, Sistol, Conoco and Uusitalo as well as somehow finding time to run the Huume record label.
‘Melankolia’ lives up to it’s name, ambient washes decorated by piano flourishes and abrasive micro rhythms create an atmospheric piece run through glitches and unexpected moments.
Delay’s ‘Tummaa’ is released on The Leaf Label on August 24th.
