After all, look at their name: two people, it's literally 'Matthew And Me'. New EP 'Startpoint' is forthcoming on innovative label Beatnik Creative, and it is easily the most confident, accomplished project from the pairing yet.
The band recently spoke to Clash about the EP: "As a whole feels like a positive body of work which grew from a complicated time of change, cathartic and forward moving. I think the EP is nicely balanced, it has moments of joy, moments of light relief and moments of a more contemplative and introspective nature."
Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Figure', and it's a brisk, muscular piece of songwriting with crisp, succinct production. Matthew And Me add: "For us 'Figure' is this light relief and is real fun to play live too!"
