Initially a one man project, Clock Opera has fast moved beyond any boundaries.
Carving out his nuggets of synthpop, Guy Connelly gradually found a few like minded musicians. Clock Opera suddenly went from being an ambition to a reality, launching themselves in heavy touring.
Releasing a string of singles, Clock Opera attracted the attention of Parisian label Kitsune. The French imprint swooped, offering their always influential seal of approval.
Clock Opera take pride of place on the Kitsune Maison 10 compilation, an anniversary affair for the label. The London group are amongst the hottest new picks on the album, with a new single punching the point home.
‘Once And For All’ is out now, a blistering slice of electro-pop. Written by Guy Connelly, the tracks feels more complete, more rounded and has obviously gained from the experience of the new band members.
Working on their debut album, expect more material in 2011. Until then, Clock Opera have become prime fodder for producers who have completed a number of official and unofficial remixes.
Clive Tanaka has re-sculpted the track as a blissed out piece of electronica, floating the vocals on a soft tide of synths.
