Track Of The Day 06/11: The Shaky Hands

Listen to 'A New Parade' here

Track of the day for Thursday 6th November is ‘A New Parade’ by Portland, Oregon’s The Shaky Hands.

The track is taken from their forthcoming album ‘Lunglight’, scheduled for a January release on Memphis Industries.

Formed back in 2003, the band has undergone a number of personnel changes with Nicholas Delffs remaining the focus of the outfit, drafting in his brother Nathan (a member of The Castanets) to join himself, Mayhaw Hoons and Jeff Lehman. The brothers, along with various band members, also perform as Death Songs, playing experimental and folk based version of Shaky Hands songs.

‘A New Parade’, todays’ Track of the Day’, showcases the band’s unique take on country flecked U.S. indie as it blazes along on a stacatto beat and a slurred vocal. Check it out below.
