LA based artist TR/ST returns with new single ‘Robrash’.
The electronic voyager has deep roots in Toronto’s DIY underground, a nexus of communities that enabled his outstanding 2012 debut ‘TRST’. Later relocating to Los Angeles, he’s built a singular catalogue, twisting old tropes into something riveting and new.
Freshly signed to Dais Records, TR/ST opens a new chapter with ‘Robrash’. Blistered electronics framed by darkness, the singular pop aesthetic that fuels his best work is here in force, achieving a new form of directness in the process.
Allowing the synths to burst, the sonics to degrade, TR/ST achieves something uniquely human, embracing the flaws within the process.
Backed by an instrumental version, ‘Robrash’ is out now on Dais Records.
