Swedish pop all-rounder Tove Lo has shared new single ‘2 Die 4’.
Out now, it comes in the build up to Tove Lo’s new album ‘Dirt Femme’, which is set to land this Autumn.
Due to be released on October 14th – order it online – it’s her fifth LP to date, and packs an astute pop punch.
Need some evidence? New single ‘2 Die 4’ is online now, built around that iconic ‘Popcorn’ hook – lifting from Hot Butter’s 1972 floor-filler.
“With ‘2 Die 4’ I wanted ‘instantly iconic’ energy. I’ve never sampled anything before, and this feels like the perfect first moment,” Tove shares. “Lyrically I wanted it to be that ‘pick me up when I’m feeling down’ song. At first, it’s like a warm hug, then you shake it off, let out a scream and start dancing!”
A bold, colourful pop statement, ‘2 Die 4’ comes equipped with a dazzling video that kinda echoes cult 90s fantasy show Xena Warrior Princess (but in a distinctly Gen Z way).
Tune in now.
