London four-some Tough Cookie make their debut with new single ‘Emory’.
The band have caused a buzz in the city with a slew of key support slots, hitting vital independent venues like Sebright Arms, the Social, and the Old Blue Last.
Set to play the Blue basement at Third Man Records on March 12th and 13th, the quartet will be in the mood to celebration.
Out now, debut single ‘Emory’ is a doze of fuzzed-up indie pop, a scuzzy guitar banger worth comparing to those early Wolf Alice hymns. Produced by Rob Brinkmann (NewDad, Royel Otis) and Ken Scott (The Beatles, David Bowie), with mixing from Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail), it nails their precocious live energy at the first time of asking.
The full video for ‘Emory’ was filmed and edited by Tough Cookie themselves – an intimate affair that finds all four musicians squeezing into August’s parents’ caravan.
Tune in now.
