Tom Rasmussen and Romy combine on new single ‘Never Look Back’.
The producer’s new album ‘Live Wire’ is out on October 4th, an intensely autobiographical song cycle that melds together club tropes with some deeply emotive aspects.
Guests include some sensational British female artists – multi-award winning Self Esteem for example, and on his new single Romy Madley-Croft from The xx.
A solo star in her own right, Romy’s voice interweaves with Tom Rasmussen’s production nous for the dream-like ‘Never Look Back’. A song about revelling in the quiet joys of our everyday life, the calming electronics has a painterly aspect to it, with Tom’s understated world-building coming to the fore.

‘Never Look Back’ is a song from a dream. One where anything is possible – especially the most scary thing – and your friend is there with you, wonderful Romy, telling you to go for it. The synth, the rhythm, and the lyric are dreamlike too: asking you to take a moment, to dance, to watch the sunset, to text your best friend and tell them you love them.
