Tom Odell Announces New Album ‘Black Friday’

It's out on January 26th...

Tom Odell has laid out plans for new album ‘Black Friday’.

The songwriter’s work has found a renewed burst of energy on social media, with TikTok thronging to his emotive lyricism. Recently returning with his single ‘Black Friday’, the track swept across the platform – with 150 million plays and counting.

Intimate performances sparked the following, a richly deserved full-circle moment that comes just over a decade after Tom Odell’s BRIT propelled breakout.

New album ‘Black Friday’ is out on January 26th, with Tom Odell aiming to remove the gloss and let the songs shine through. In a note, he comments…

“I recorded these songs between last winter and the spring of this year. I tried to leave them as ‘unproduced’ as possible with the hope that they would be the truest reflection of how I felt in that time. These songs mean a lot to me, and I can’t wait for you to hear them.”

New single ‘Somebody Else’ is out now, a pensive hymn written by Tom Odell himself, with production coming from Odell and long-time collaborator Cityfall.

Tune in now.
