Tom Misch Explores Inter-Generational Relationships Through ‘Old Man’

A beautiful return...

Tom Misch returns with new song ‘Old Man’.

The English artist is a noted collaborator, working with the likes of Loyle Carner, Yussef Dayes, and more. His solo catalogue began with those viral mixtapes, with 2018’s debut album ‘Geography’ displaying his talents in full bloom.

New song ‘Old Man’ represents a pivot of sorts, with Tom Misch stripping back his sound. Little more than vocal and guitar, it’s a more streamlined singer-songwriter arrangement, one that places focus on his musicality, and his voice.

Lyrically, ‘Old Man’ explores inter-generational relationships, and it was written alongside Matt Maltese in Misch’s parents’ shed, before Tom Misch flew to Nashville to record and produce it with Ian Fitchuck.

Saddiq Abubakar directs the touching video, which offers snapshots of the father/son relationship – stay tuned for the poignant, truly touching finale, as Tom Misch performs to an audience of one; his father Peter Misch.

Tune in now.
