Tom DeLonge has hit back at a negative review of blink-182’s Lollapalooza performance.
The pop-punk heroes played a storming set at the mammoth American festival, closing the event with a hit-laden set. Leaving to cheers from the crowd, the trio sat down to watch the reviews come in – except they weren’t all positive.
Tom DeLonge spotted one particularly scathing review, and opted to screenshot it for Facebook – alongside six middle finger emojis.
He wasn’t particularly upset, however. Over on Instagram he did the same, following this by highlight one particularly memorable line from the review – “why are two men who have wives and kids making jokes about sleeping with each other’s mothers?”
Laughing, Tom DeLonge responded: “oh my god, I’m dying hahaha fuck, I love this band”.
The move sparked an internet pile-on, however, with one fan summing it all up: “Tell you’ve never listened to blink without telling me you’ve never listened to blink…”
Workaholics actor Adam DeVine added, “Hahaha! Comedy is subjective man. I’m ALWAYS saying that.”
