A continually probing, boundary shattering entity, to rococo rot tend to do as they damn well please.

Sitting on the fringes of the ambient/electronic world, the three piece – Robert and Ronald Lippok and Stefan Schneider – have now decided to embrace songs.

New album 'Instrument' drops on July 21st via City Slang, No Wave legend Arto Lindsay is present throughout.

Adding guest vocals, the New York artist's contributions to new cut 'Many Descriptions' are beautifully poetic.

The opening track on their new record, 'Many Descriptions' seemingly marks a break in the group's approach, with Robert Lippok commenting: "We wanted to make clear that something is different."

As for the entrance into songcraft, Lippok claims that the question isn't so much 'why?' but 'why not?'. "I don’t know how it came but it came quite naturally. A lot of our music people say is longing for vocals" he explained.

"We never felt like that but when we were in the rehearsal room and played the stuff we could hear these voices. Maybe because there were about 40 old pianos and when we played, all the strings of the pianos resonated. That made us feel that there should be a new and another element in this music. There was no discussion about it."
