Tinie salutes his UKG roots on new single 'Love Me Like This'.

The much-loved London rapper returns to the sound of 2-step on the new release, with the aid of vocalist Maia Wright.

Maia Wright's soulful approach counter-balances his crisp flow, while the beat pin-points UKG tropes.

Adding a fresh spin on a classic British sound, the nostalgia-soaked tune includes a cheeky reference to the 2001 classic ‘Do You Really Like It?’ from DJ Pied Piper and the Masters of Ceremonies.

Elliot Simpson directs the full video, with Tinie explaining: “With this particular track, 'Love Me Like This', I wanted to revisit seminal UK underground records that had crossed over and put my own twist on it. Now it’s time for another generation to experience club culture, especially after everything we’ve all been through over the last couple years. The timing felt right”.

He continues: “I always wanted to be an artist, partly because of the live element of it all. The clubs, raves, festivals, and the sick venues that bring us all together. During the pandemic, the live side of music was heavily impacted and became virtually non-existent. That void took me back to a time when I was at the age where I couldn’t get into the clubs and raves, but there were all of these MCs and DJs, dancers and girls, living a lifestyle of champagne, jewelry, Gucci loafers, and all these other nuances that at the time I could only dream of”.
