Manchester chart sensations The Ting Tings are set to make sure we don’t forget their name after announcing a series of UK dates for later in the year.

The band have been one of the surprise success stories of 2008, with their first single “Great DJ” rocketing into the charts. The Ting Tings followed that with the spectacular success of “That’s Not My Name” which zoomed straight in at number one. The duo’s debut album also hit pole position, in only its first week of release.

The Ting Tings kicked off their festival season at the weekend with a special performance at Glastonbury, and are set to release a new single – “Shut Up And Let Me Go” – on July 21st. The new tour will be the band’s biggest to date, and sees them playing the following dates:

September 21st – Glasgow, Barrowlands
September 23rd – Newcastle, Carling Academy
September 24th – Nottingham, Rock City
September 25th – Southampton, Guildhall
September 26th – Sheffield, Carling Academy
September 28th – Norwich, UEA
September 29th – Lincoln, Engine Shed
September 30th – Leicester, University

October 2nd – Manchester, Academy
October 4th – Birmingham, Carling Academy
October 5th – Cardiff, University Great Hall
October 7th – Bristol, Carling Academy
October 8th – London, Shepherds Bush Empire
October 9th – London, Forum
