Ticketmaster Settles Springsteen Dispute

Agency speaks to fans

Tour company Ticketmaster has settled its dispute with Bruce Springsteen offering fans the chance to gain tickets for the musician’s upcoming US tour.

The massive company earned a severe rebuke from one of its biggest stars recently. Bruce Springsteen organised a massive North American tour which the agency was due to sell tickets for.

However, when many fans accessed the Ticketmaster site they found themselves redirected to a sister site Ticketsnow which offered briefs for a much higher price.

Springsteen and his touring staff issued a furious statement against this practice, assuring fans they had no prior knowledge this would occur.

Finding itself accused of a “conflict of interest” by one of the planets biggest artists, Ticketmaster immediately made changes to its selling practice. In a hearing at the New Jersey attorney general’s office yesterday (February 23rd) Ticketmaster agreed to sever any connections with Ticketsnow.

In addition to this, there will be a random draw to select 1000 people who will be allowed to buy two tickets for Springsteen’s concerts in New Jersey this May.

Winners in the draw will not be charged Ticketmaster’s usual fees.
