Thumpers know that London can sometimes be a tough place to live in.
The sheer scale and speed of the city can be overwhelming, a dizzying array of attractions, entertainments, lights, and sound.
The duo's new song 'Boundary Loves' looks at life in London, the manner in which it can both entrance and repulse.
Lurid pop music with a sting in its tail, the effervescent melodies are shot through with a kind of world-weary cynicism.
Singer-guitarist Marcus Pepperell says: "'Boundary Loves' is about a love between one man, his neighbourhood, and the 10,000 other people just like him that are nevertheless somehow ruining it. It’s as painful a love story as anyone gets to be a part of.”
The animated lyric video for 'Boundary Loves' is pretty neat, too, an off kilter romp that perfectly illustrates Thumpers' ever-imaginative songwriting.
Tune in now.
Thumpers will release new album 'Whipped & Glazed' on September 1st.
