Throwing Shade is set to release new EP 'House Of Silk' through Ninja Tune on March 4th.
NTS host and rising electronic Throwing Shade caught our attention last year, releasing an enthralling 12 inch on No Pain In Pop.
Clash writer Isis O'Regan profiled the producer, and found a young artist whose talent was rapidly coming into focus.
Now working with Ninja Tune, Throwing Shade's new EP 'House Of Silk' will be released on March 4th. New cut 'hashtag IRL' is online now, and it's an inquisitive, electronic Rubik's cube of a track.
Throwing Shade claims that the track is inspired by the "anti-social reality of social media", while the "repetitive, robotic and melancholy vocals" to her "symbolize the relentlessness with which the internet now dictates our lives… our thoughts are watered down to a common denominator of hashtags, selfies and internet-speak acronyms."
