Thom Yorke will release his original score for Daniele Luchetti’s film Confidenza on April 26th.
The Radiohead singer is enjoying a purple patch of extra-curricular side hustles: The Smile are going from strength to strength, while he’s also stretching out into soundtrack work.
Having previously scored the Suspiria remake, Thom Yorke returns to his solo guise to add the musical framework to Daniele Luchetti’s film Confidenza.
The soundtrack is available digitally from April 26th, with vinyl and CD to follow on July 12th.
Thom Yorke confirmed his involvement earlier this year, and teased intro track ‘The Big City’ during his playlist for The Smile’s BBC 6 Music Artist in Residence series.
A new video has just gone live, featuring aspects of the film interspersed around single ‘Knife Edge’, and its B-side ‘Prize Giving’.

Finally, new Radiohead might be on the horizon in the not-too-distant future, according to the group’s Philip Selway. During a live-stream with Crow Hill Company just before Christmas, he said: “We’re all coming back around to that point now of thinking, ‘Right, we’ve had a break — this is it. This feels like something to dive back into and really explore and see what other directions it can take us in.”
Keep those fingers crossed, people.
