Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has stunned fans by unveiling a new video – featuring images from the graffiti artist Banksy.
Thom Yorke is a busy man. In addition to completing new material with Radiohead the singer has returned to his solo career.
A recent set at the Latitude festival saw Thom Yorke perform all by himself. Playing snippets of solo material alongside Radiohead classics the singer played a hugely impressive set, packing a capacity crowd in front of the main stage.
Since then Thom Yorke has confirmed details of a new solo release. The singer is set to make a limited edition twelve inch available later this year, containing two all new solo tracks.
Recorded with assistance from Jonny Greenwood, ‘FeelingPulledApartByHorses’ dates back to recording sessions with Radiohead in 2001. Stripped down, the dark and private recording is one of the most intense works Thom Yorke has recorded.
The new 12 inch will contain two A-sides, with ‘The Hollow Earth’ the other track due to be released. Thom Yorke has debuted the video to ‘The Hollow Earth’ on the official Radiohead website, and it contains some familiar images.
Directed by United States film maker Raymond Salvatore Harmon, the new video features images by the graffiti artist Banksy. Banksy is no stranger to the world of music, having grown up around the Wild Bunch Sound System.
The graffiti legend has previously worked on the cover to Blur’s ‘Crazy Beat’ single and has now been chosen to be the visual accompaniment to Thom Yorke’s new single.
