Thom Yorke is set to contribute music to a forthcoming Broadway play.
The new move comes as the Radiohead singer continues to diversify, releasing an album's worth of material on BitTorrent and playing an experimental set at Latitude.
The play is a new production of Harold Pinter's Old Times and will star Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. The show will be directed by Douglas Hodge and will run at American Airlines Theatre in New York from October 6th through to November 29th.
Thom Yorke said: "It’s been a pleasure working with Doug on my first stage production. I’ve enjoyed exploring through music the script’s themes of love and memory as well as Pinter’s rhythms, twists and turns."
Douglas Hodge commented: "The music Thom has written for Old Times gives an immediacy and a ‘now-ness’ to the show. The play itself is about memory and love – Thom’s music works backwards and forwards and plays with time and repetition in the same way Pinter does."
